Loving the product so far J-P, great job. What a joy it is to be able to try a landing, not be happy with it and quickly reset in 1 minute. Awesome!

I had a question about whether it would be easy to implement some either custom positions (5 miles out from a runway threshold at "x" bearing with "y" altitude/heading, or a late waypoint on a final approach.

2 examples I have in mind are the Samos 09, which would like you to be at SAM R179, D4.0 @1800ft, or at LFMN not try to have to figure out vector positions but just put the aircraft at BADPO for 22R.

These are approaches I'm not good at and I'd love to be able to practice the manual flight parts of these without a long lead in, so they can be done dozens of times.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your feedback!
I'm actually working on the pilot's waypoint function which will be quite similar to the one available on FSiPanel 2017.

You will be able to create a waypoint by:
  • GPS coordinates
  • Actual aircraft position
  • Picking a Navaid, Fixes
Cheers,

J-P

Thanks that's exactly what would help for those types of approach.

Funny story from yesterday, after a number of approaches I couldn't count, my aircraft suddenly became uncontrollable and then the engines went out. Turns out I had burned through 5.5 tons of fuel just trying consecutive approaches! A nice compliment to how stable things are with your new positioning J-P.
