Visibility too low p3d v5.1 non EA

Post by hotbso »

Hi,
I have problems practicing CAT I landings with CAT I weather set by FSiPanel. I rarely can see 3 appr lights at 200 AGL.
I did some experiments in LOWI at dusk (for better visibility). Sitting at the threshold can barely see the 7th runway edge light making it an RVR of ~420 to 480, or?
Anyone with opinions on this?

Hi,

Visibility is set exactly at the figures if you check on P3D, I agree with you that it should be a bit more though as runway is barely seen at minimum.
Maybe an option to increase min visibility by xx percent for calibrating could help?

That's what I suspected. Yes, some percentage calibration would be very helpful. Or accept a free numeric input value as alternative to the fixed quick values.
Thanks for this wonderful tool

I would like to come back to your wonderful idea of adding a kind of calibration for visibility ;) .

I have added it to the to-do list.
It will be a factor in the setup menu. For example 1.2 will add 20% more visibility.
