Thanks for the detailed report, I will give it a try on 23 to see if I can reproduce the issue.

I just tried on 23, no issue.
Was the weather marginal when you tried? Maybe AP was not able to keep track due to crosswind, tailwind or downdrafts?
Can you try again today?

Ok, I know it sounds crazy, but it is daytime dependend!
I always tried the aproach to 23 in the evening and first of all I opend the weather window and moved the slider into a daylight position, about 12:xx. When I do not change the daytime, as I did some minutes ago (18:30) everything works fine and also AP 1 is ON. Trying at 12:xx AP1 is OFF and the heading is moving to the left. But when I switch AP1 manually on, the heading moves back to the desired position and keeps the position as expected.
So I think you should not spent to much effort into this strange behaviour. For me it is OK.
Would be better to support a C152 in order to make tries approaching EDXH.

By the way: what does the coloured bar in the upper left corner mean. Sometimes it shows LIFR and sometimes IFR.
