Having problems searching this forum

Hi, again. I'm having trouble searching the forums for various things. I keep getting this error message:
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: star.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.
I realize "star" may be a common word, but it is more than 3 characters and less than 14. I have tried searching on "flight", "database" and many other works which give this same error.
Interestingly, I can search correctly on "airplane", but a search on "airport" gives me the error!
