FBW A32NX - Aircraft Ready Not Responding to Brakes

Hello

Am using the latest Dev Build of the A32NX, but once the fix has loaded and the ready message appears, I now seem unable to get FSiPanel to respond to the brakes being pressed for three seconds, the a/c just sits at the slected fix prompting for the brakes to be pressed, but does nothing when they are.

The brakes are calibrated and can be seen to move when pressed and work correctly on the ground

I have had FSiPanel for some time and use it with other a/c ok, but on the A32NX, it's just hanging.

All FSiPanel updates have been applied.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi,

Just tried with latest build, no issues at all.
Can you visually check that your brake pedals are moving when you hit the brake please.

Regards,

J-P

Thank you for your reply.

As I stated in my original post, the brake pedals can be seen moving when pressed in the air, also the brakes work fine when taxiing.

Have also tried parking brakes on and off.

Hi again,

Please check the video below:

Nobody else having this issue to my knowledge, something has to be wrong with a setting.
Let me know,

Cheers,

Thank you for posting the video - watching closely has helped me to solve the problem.

In your video, you stated to ensure that the brakes were being pressed fully. This made me wonder if the brake calibration was the cause. I had a look and noticed that I had an Extreme Dead Zone setting of 10%. After restting this to 0%, the brake press was successfully recognised and FSiPanel continued without further issue.

So my guess is that although visually within the cockpit the brakes appeared to be being pressed ok, they weren't being pressed 'enough' for FSiPanel to recognise.

So fully working now - many thanks once again for your assistance !

Regards

Gary

I've just discovered that I have the FBW Brakes issue, where holding down the brakes for 3 seconds has no effect on releasing the aircraft. I have elderly CH Pro rudder pedals, and there is a little noise on the right pedal at idle position which I have cancelled with 10% on the extremity dead zone (Reading Gary's message above, I tried removing this, no success, and it causes problems with the brake being activated instead of taxiing). But I have identical sensitivity settings for the Fenix and the PMDG 738 and there are no issues with the pedals releasing those aircraft in FSiPanel. I have also tried keyboard commands for the brakes and these don't work either.
FBW version is the very latest as of today 19/10/23,

ok thank you for this information, looks like the brake applied is not sufficient,
I'm away for another week, could you please try to SET your parking brake to take control, is that working ?

J-P

Been away from the sim for a few weeks, but this problem has retrurned, with FSiPanel failing to start after pressing the brakes for 3 seconds in 2 out of 4 attempts of flying the same approach.

When the brake press isn't acknowledged, the plane slowly loses altitude vertically until it eventually hits the ground.

Hi
I have been having the same problem with the FBW A32NX for the past couple of weeks.
The problem has corrected itself. Could it possibly be to do with one of the many FBW updates?
I am on the latest update as of today 1st Nov. dev b58e68f
