Unable to select the correct COM1 frequency

Post by Compbus »

Hi, During the Scenario LSGG – LSZH with VOICE, I cannot contact DEP on 119.530.
Regardless whether the checkbox for Autotune next frequency on COM1-STBY is activated or not, the foll. problem appears during flight. (Tried this many times)
After Takeoff while still on TWR 118.700 the Scenario is switched to the next phase instructing me to contact DEP on 119.530. But this new frequency appears only very quickly in the active COM1 and then immediately disappears again.
119.530 is than replaced with any stupid, unknown frequency such as:
i.e., 136.250 or 136.450 or 120.305 or others. Even re-tuning 119.530 via
COM1-STBY again, does not help. 119.530 is never kept in the active COM1.
Therefor I’m unable to contact DEP and after a while FSiPanel Scenario loses track with the actual Flight plan.
Out of more than 20 flights with this Scenario, it appeared only once to me, that I could complete the full Scenario to its end on RWY 28.
What is it, that I do wrong, so 119.530 is not kept in the Active COM1?

Thank’s for any comment

Hi,

It seems that you have an assistance enable to auto-tune your COM in MSFS settings menu.
Please disable it and you should be fine.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your adivise. I have checked all this but it does not help.
Everything works fine starting with Ground on 121.680, then Apron 121.855 and than over to TWR on 118.700.
I am able to talk to the TWR and do the TO on RWY 22.
After airborn I shall contact DEP on 119.530. I confirm this frequency-change to the TWR (still on 118.700). Now I can see that the STBY on COM1 changes to 119.530 (that’s fine since yet I have selected Autotune).
Now I shift 119.530 to the Activ COM1 but even bevor I’m able to press the PTT, the 119.530 in the Active COM1 alters by it self to 136.450.
I retune 119.700 and shift it back again to the Active COM1.
But same again. It switches immediatelly back to136.450

It’s a long way from Gate A8 to the holding point on RWY 22, if you do this several times…….

Thank’s again for any suggestions

Hi,
I’m glad it’s working now.
Have reset the Fenix in the community folder and set COM3 in the MSFS toolbar to on. COM1 is than free for FSiPanel communication.
However, I do not see the yellow ACKNOWLEDGE pop-up in the text windows any longer. This pop-up only appears once at the very first time when instructed to select 121.680.
No problem, this is not needed since acknowledgment is done by the PTT with the readback.
Thanks again. It’s a great scenario and makes fun.
