Xbox One Controller Push to Talk bot working
Xbox One Controller Push to Talk bot working
Hi. I have tried to set up my Xbox One Controller to use the push to talk feature for ATC in the training scenarios. The buttons I have chosen highlight in green when selected but do not work in the training scenario. I can receive ATC ATIS when that frequency is selected.

Hi,
I don't know this controller, in the setup menu, can you try to select another device, press the button and see if it lights up as well ?
Are you sure that you're transmitting on the right frequency? There is an assistance option in MSFS to automatically tune the frequency.
Regards,
J-P

Thanks J P
I have only one device to choose from in the set up menu. It is the xbox one controller for windows.I have taken a screenshot but I am unsure how to include it in this post. I checked the frequency and it is the right one.

Ok, could you tell me which scenario you're trying and what frequency is set on COM1 when you call ATC?

Hi J-P
I am trying the Jetblue 1318 KFJK - KBOS EN ATC scenario. The Com1 frequency is set to 135.050

Ok frequency is correct.
Are you sure you selected the button that is flashing when you click and release your PTT button? If the setup is able to see it you should have no issue
Could you send me screenshots at support at fsipanel.com please.

No I do not use FS2Crew.
Re: Xbox One Controller Push to Talk bot working
I just checked on Google about this controller.
It uses the Xinput protocole and not the directinput, reason why it could fail to detect the button.
Apparently when the app has the full FOCUS, like setting the PTT BUTTON, the button press will be seen but when FSiPanel is not anymore in Focus, nothing is sent by the joystick.
A small tool exists to convert Xinput to DirectInput, used by some players having same issues with different games.
The tool is XInput plus, maybe worth giving it a try?
Cheers,
J-P
