Hi,
after pressing Move AC and before pressing Brakes for 3 seconds the A320Neo will be moved into the air but does not keep its position (Long Final).
The heading will be moving to the left and the altitude will be decreased. By moving the apropriate rudder the moving can be catched, but I think this it not normal.
What is the reason for this strange behavior?
Best regards,Hans

Re: A320 doesn't keep position in the air
The A320 setup is different to other aircraft such as the PMDG 737. Do not touch anything during the setup after you have set the speed, heading, altitude and placed the throttle in climb detent (including the rudder) - just let FSiPanel complete the setup - and yes the plane will keep moving - and then when told to hold the brakes for three seconds - arm your aircraft (if you so wish) and enjoy your approach.
As to why it behaves this way, I think it is because J-P has had to do some 'workrounds' so that the Fenix A320 could be included in the list of aircraft.
I am assuming that you are referencing the Fenix A320

Thanks for your reply!
I'm not referencing the Fenix A320, I'm referencing the original A320Neo from Microsoft.
I do everything you described, the same things as mentioned in the YouTube video for the A320.
In the video the aircraft will keep its position!
When I'm in the air I also need some time to set the ILS frequency.
Meanwhile the aircraft will lost about 1000 feet and looks into a direction where the runway is not in sigth anymore.
Maybe J-P has an idea to fix that.
Best regards, Hans

Re: A320 doesn't keep position in the air
Hi Hans,
I will need to give it a try as now almost everybody is using the FlyByWire A320 mod instead of the original ASOBO aircraft.
Have you tried it already? it is free and much more reliable than the original aircraft.
I will try the ASOBO A320 tomorrow and report back to you.
Cheers,
J-P

Re: A320 doesn't keep position in the air
I tried the FlyByWire A320 mod instead of the original ASOBO aircraft, but when pressing Move AC nothing happens.
The plane stays on the ground. The window from FSiPanel appeares, saying "aircraft will be prepared" and "move thrust levers to CL detent"
but nothing else.
MSFS as well as FlybyWire is updated to the latest version.
What I have to do?

When you move Thrust levers to Climb, you should see your speed increasing.
Passing 130kts, You will go in the air.

... and parking brake off! Then the plane moves into the air.
But after that, the same things happens as I described in my first post. Except there is no loss of altitude.
Heading can be catched with aileron as already mentioned.

Is the AP1 ON when FSiPanel moves the aircraft and it steers to the left and descending?

With ASEBO A320 AP1 was off. With FlyByWire AP1 was on.
BUT using LSZH as aproaching airport instead of EDDH everything works fine!!!

EDDH Rwy 05 and 15 also works fine. In this case AP1 is ON. Its only Rwy 23 where heading and altitude are moving and AP1 ist OFF.
Well, its not so important for me to use Rwy 23, but I am a little bit surprised concerning this strange behavior.
