I found the problem.

When setting up the CDU I had not set a Cruise Altitude.

Yes, I could click on the X in the upper right corner of the message box to exit it.

However, the Connecting message never goes away if you do not X it off.

I can launch FSipanel and go fly and the message box still says Connecting.

FSipanel message window appears as soon as I start MSFS2020 and never goes away,

I never got a CTD and I have not change destinations.

That is the problem.

The FMC RTE Origin / Dest are not programmed by FSipanel.
The ILS frequency for KDTW rwy04R is programmed.

I later tested with P3D5 and PMDG737 and all ok.
